How often a disappointed fisherman says: "He was a big one! I had him hooked but he jumped and threw the bait and I lost him! Boy, was he a whopper!

When a large fish is hooked it snaps its jaws, opens its mouth to its fullest extent and violently shakes its head, causing the bait to snap back and forth. The strain on the hooks becomes so great that usually the hooks and bait go sailing skyward and a prize fish is lost.

Nothing like the above happens if you are using The Mud Puppy. When the fish shakes its head it simply shakes The Mud Puppy free of the hooks and thereafter stays hooked while the bait floats free of the hooks and line. After the fish is landed, The Mud Puppy is picked up.

How it works:

Put pin in nose of bait through ring in leader joint
Pass hook end of leader across mouth and belly
Press hook clasp into slot in bait and you are ready to fish.

Put mouse over picture for demonstration.
